Happy birthday, my love. ❤️

I’m so incredibly happy that I get to be part of another year of your life. It makes me genuinely happy knowing that I get to celebrate you, to be beside you and to experience this little part of your life with you.

I’ve been trying to find the right words to explain how grateful I am for you, especially for everything you’ve done for me this week, but honestly... I don't think there are enough words.

Not in English. Not in Portuguese. Not even if we combined both dictionaries together. I still don't think there would be enough words to explain how much you mean to me.

You have done so many things for me. You surprised me with the camera. You paid for my nails. You have thought about helping me with university. You have worried about my future. You have tried to find solutions with me. And you have even thought about marriage because you want to find a way for us to stay together.

But the thing that touches me the most isn't the money, the camera, the nails or any of those things.

It's the fact that you care.

You think about my future. You worry when I'm struggling. You try to make things easier for me. You listen when I'm scared. You remind me that I don't have to face everything alone.

And you never had to do any of those things.

You chose to.

I don't think you realise how much that means to me. I have spent so much time having to deal with everything by myself, and suddenly there is someone beside me saying, "we'll figure it out."

That person is you.

And that means more to me than I could ever properly explain.

You make me feel cared for in a way that I'm still learning how to accept. I love your company. I love talking to you. I love laughing with you. I love holding your hand. I love annoying you. I love listening to your terrible jokes 😂 And I simply love being next to you.

I love the way you make me feel safe enough to be vulnerable.

I feel incredibly lucky to have you in my life. Sometimes I genuinely wonder how I managed to get to this point in my life where I met you.

Through all the good days and all the horrible ones, I wouldn't change the journey, because somehow all of it led me to you.

And now I get to hold your hand, look into your eyes, laugh with you, annoy you, love you, and make memories with you.

That's something I will always be grateful for.
